Duplication involves using blank media disc and burning the data onto the disc. The reason the term “burn” is used is because the disc-writer, or burner, literally burns the data onto a writable CD, DVD and Bly Ray. With the use of professional equipment and high quality media stock the result is a perfect disc copy.

Replication is a form of disc manufacturing that involves pressing the disc which is done via a glass master. The poly-carbonate is squirted onto the master so that the data is permanently etched into the data layer. Reflective and protective surfaces are then added to allow a laser to pick up the information and give the disc durability.
This is the main process used for retail DVD’s and CD’s.
